EXCELLENTVerified Best Jack Ever…..Seriously Love this thing. The jacks that come with most new vehicles may work, but by the thinnest of margins. Far too important to not jack up a vehicle on wobbly toothpicks, particularly if you’re not on perfectly flat, even terrain. I have a large, heavy, fast off road vehicle. Over 6,000 pounds. I wanted to replace the scissor jack that it came with, with something very similar in design, but much better made. This is it. Period. Search over.There are various jack types. Bottle jacks, scissor jacks, high lift jacks and so on. Most vehicles come with factory scissor jacks, same basic design as this. Each has pros and cons. Where this scissor jack shines by comparison is it’s mechanical simplicity, it’s ease of use, super well constructed design, it’s riser allows you to lift your vehicle from far more points under the vehicle, it’s stability, quality and it’s strength.This jack can be manually cranked, or you can zip it along with a power driver if that’s your thing. I don’t use a jack enough to require power tools to use them, but others may find that useful (and super fast too). I locked on to surplus jacks that the military used with its Humvees. Similar to this but vastly less utilitarian, as they’re made specifically for Humvee lift points and require an adapter to work elsewhere. But I liked the design and robustness of those. Mechanically simple, strong, stable and plenty of lift. Then I found GORTECH. Watched a very unbiased, lengthy YT video review and was immediately sold. It checked literally every box. And even if I drove a smaller vehicle, I’d still want this jack. If you have to lift your vehicle off the ground to change a tire, who wouldn’t want something super strong and stable? That applies to nearly any vehicle.The kit with the jack is great too. Everything you need to keep it organized and in good shape. It’s one of those products that when you open up the box and start checking it out in person, your reaction is “Wow. Nice. Whoever designed this, absolutely nailed it.”Highly recommended. I’d give it a 6th star if I could.Posted onVerified So far no problems, multiple small-medium size lifts I don't have a lot of space in my garage, so I like to use a scissor jack instead of a floor jack when doing maintenance. First use the scissor jack to raise up each side then lower onto combination bottle jack/jack stands for safe support. Unfortunately, most scissor jacks aren't designed for frequent use and after wearing out several I decided to try the Gortech. While "only" rated for 2 tons, it is constructed from heavy steel and should hold up to frequent use, and 2 Tons is more than enough for most vehicles. So far I've used the Gortech jack about a dozen times on a few light to medium sized vehicles (Toyota Corolla and Camry and a Hyundai Kona) with no problems. Lifting using a Dewalt 1/2" drill and 12mm socket adapter. The drill has been able to easily lift all cars. I bought this jack from the Gortech website. Although it looks and feels robust, a rivet broke off from a pivoting section that should not have been riveted in the first place. Luckily I had some Chicago screws for a better fix.Hopefully the QC gets better as I really do like the concept and it's rather unique. With the extension, I see it as being more versatile and safer than a hi-lift or bottle jack. To try it out, I used it on my wife's HR-V to swap summer wheels/tires to winter wheels/tires. I used a pinch weld adapter on the front jack point and this jack easily and smoothly lifted the whole side of the car, both wheels off the ground. The existing universal joint extension and speed handle worked so well, I do not see any need to carry a battery powered driver. I feel confident it will hold up to more serious use and it will be the jack I carry in my truck.Posted onVerified A very sturdy scissor jack. This scissor jack looks to be a quality product. It is hefty and strongly built. Best scissor jack I've seen compared to other brands that come up on the internet. Compared to my H1 Hummer 3.5 ton scissor jack that I keep in my Ram 1500 truck, this Gortech 2 ton jack looks just as heavy duty and reliably built. It is wide and appears very stable. The Gortech jack is manufactured in India and seems to be a great product. The crank handle, ratchet wrench, and height extender tools are also quality built pieces as well as the carry bag and tool organizer pouch. I'm glad I found this scissor jack and am very pleased with this purchase.Posted onVerified Heavy duty but . . . . Received the jack a couple days ago and my first impression is it appears to be well made and sufficiently heavy duty enough to raise up my Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 with the provided extension part. I placed the jack under the truck main frame and raised it with ease. My only complaint is the wing nut on the bolt that locks the extension part to the jack head just spins. Instead of a pressed fit to the bolt, I recommend the wing nut be welded to the bolt to prevent it from coming loose and just spin. The standard SUV’s and 4X4’s comes out with these ridiculous jacks that cannot lift the vehicle high enough. I tested this jack and I am impressed by the sturdy and durable steel. I had my mother in law in the vehicle and it lifted all the weight. All 2 Tons. I am happy

My Gortech jack recently saved the day when a Toyota Hilux slipped off a bottle jack, on the slope next to a tarred road with the drum in the sand and the Gortech could lift the vehicle off the ground to change the tyre. Excellent product. Worth the money!!

I bought 2 a few month’s back. Great product. Gets used much more than my Hi Lift. Useful for picking up dropped trailers, vehicles lying on their bellies (too low for any other jack). Replaces hydraulic bottle jacks almost completely

Bought it to use instead of my standard jack.
It is a big and heavy piece of kit and will not easily fit into the jack areas provided in most vehicles so you will need to find a way to stash it else it is going to be staying home.
It easily lifts my 4×4 Hilux and the extension provided allows me to get in under the chassis or without the extension under the axle.

As a mechanic who often does mobile work, this jack has come in really handy and when combined with a good cordless drill it’s super fast too. Before finding out about this product, I had modified a cheap ‘2ton’ scissor jack to work with the same drill. The drill wasn’t able to get the jack to even begin jacking the car as it would cut out. I overcame that by using my cordless impact gun instead and within a couple weeks the jack’s thread changed shape and seized. So I’ve kept an eye on this Gortech’s thread and it’s absolutely superb! Definitely a well designed and made product!

I have a 76 Land Cruiser with raised suspension and was concerned that lift may not be enough. Not so. Jacked up with minimal effort and with height to spare. One can also use a socket wrench/bar to assist jacking if need be. Could possibly also be useful in certain off road recovery situations. Super strong and sturdy. Highly recommended

I had a 3 ton lathe on my trailer last week and lost a tire and it lifted the trailer with the lathe on. Didn’t think it would be able to do it. Used a block on the N1 tar road where the lifting spot was. I have a lot of respect for it

I have been using my Gortech Jack for a year now with no issues. Not only is it a great OEM Jack replacement it is also able to extend to the length I needed after putting the lift kit on my bakkie.
